The Reschke family first settled in the Coonawarra district in 1906 establishing
themselves as cattle graziers over four generations. Land holdings have grown and in
1989 the first Cabernet Sauvignon vines were planted. With a focus only for the
premium market the Reschke family is committed to hand pruning and restricting the
yields of their vineyards ensuring maximum fruit quality, “Vitulus”(Latin for
“Bull-Calf”) as the name suggests, is produced from some of their younger vines
which have been earmarked to produce some of Reschke’s finest wines.
