Made of stainless steel with a capacity of 4 1/2 tonnes, the Gondola is the large bin used to transfer grapes from the vineyard to the winery. For our first vintage, the Gondola also doubled as an open fermenter, as we had filled all available vessels. Primitive maybe, but the resultant wine was terrific.
Dark ruby with purple tints, this glorious blend has earthy blackcurrant scents and flavours, combined with hints of liquorice and smoky vanillin oak. Smooth, round and full bodies ;fine tannins carry the palate to a flavoursome finish that appears dusted with just a touch of black peper.
