St Mary’s 2003 House Block is made from hand picked, estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon grapes that were hand plunged during fermentation. The wine was basket pressed into French and American oak barrels to mature for 18 months prior to bottling.
The 2003 St. Mary’s House Block Cabernet is vibrant plum red in colour with a youthful purple rim. The bouquet has touches of mint, mulberry and undertones of cedary oak with a sweet core of cabernet fruit flavours.
Typical of the House Block style the wine is rich and full-bodied with ripe Cabernet flavours.
Food Accompaniments: Char grilled fillets or game meats or roast lamb with mint sauce.
